The campaign featured a few successful South Africans, such as former Miss World and medical doctor, Rolene Straus; author, columnist and marketing personality, Khaya Dlanga and former Miss South Africa and media personality, Jo-Ann Strauss.

As part of the campaign, each celebrity shared advice that they had received, which they felt had helped contribute to their success.

Somizi Mhlongo says that it was legendary playwright Mbongeni Ngema’s suggestion to be authentic and original. "That way you will always stand out from the rest," says Mhlongo.

On the '#WeSeeYou' campaign itself, internationally acclaimed model and TV presenter Minki van der Westhuizen says, "It is important to give credit where credit is due. I believe we all had someone in our past whose words or actions helped shape us into the person we are today. I love that this campaign recognised that."

DJ Tira says that the '#WeSeeYou' campaign resonated with his personal beliefs. "I love to encourage people to achieve positive things. In my lifetime, I have, through patience and my passion for growing the South African music industry, turned a lot of raw talent into superstars. This keeps me going and makes me look forward to putting more bread on more tables across the country."

"The road to success isn’t a path you can walk alone. We all need a helping hand along the way. With our product offerings, advice and competitions, African success is in consumers’ hands," concludes Metropolitan's head of brand and marketing, Llewellyn Allen.
