Stratitude has indicated that it has scored highly in the ownership and employment equity categories. The marketing agency supported the launch of a female, black-owned PR and communications agency Phumtha Services as part of its enterprise development initiative.

This included the development of a website that launched the brand in the digital space. Additionally, a skills development programme comprised internships for young graduates and saw:
  • one intern appointed on a full-time basis
  • the upskilling of employees in skills development courses, and
  • an internal mentorship initiative that offered four young people valuable marketing and communications skills and knowledge.
"Having started Stratitude ten years ago, it felt right to support another female-owned agency to launch in the industry," says Sylvia Schutte, Stratitude's managing director.

"We jumped at the opportunity to work with an individual passionate about marketing communications, and [we] are excited to be a part of the Phumtha journey," adds Schutte.

The agency's contribution to socio-economic development and responsible social marketing continued as per its eight-year relationship with Sunshine Association — a non-profit organisation that supports children with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities.

Along with making several donations to the NPO, the agency also indicated that it has redesigned training manuals, as well as managed its social media platforms and website.

"Sunshine Association is very dear to our hearts. It's our passion project and we believe that supporting the NPO with their marketing requirements makes a real impact on the incredible work they do," says Schutte.

Stratitude has additionally implemented a verification process to outsource to, and support, black-owned suppliers. The marketing agency continued its support of a black-owned brand management company with marketing and website development services.

"We are committed to making a difference in our communities and country at large through our ongoing support to all our initiatives. To us, this B-BBEE achievement is more than just a status; it is about long-term sustainability and making a positive impact," concludes Schutte.
