Sifiso Falala, president of PAMRO, says, "For the first time in all these years, we will not be able to get together in person but we are going to go ahead with a virtual conference."

"And, another first for us is that all our sessions will be free of charge. The goal of the organisation is to harmonise research methodologies and encourage excellence in the industry. We are also working toward building a continental media research database," adds Falala.

The 2020 e-conference is themed 'The story of African resilience'. It is ideally suited to individuals, brands or companies interested in media research activities.

"We have people from all over Africa and around the globe joining us, so the best suitable time to run our daily sessions to ensure maximum attendance is from 11:00 to 13:00 Central African Time (GMT+2)," says Falala.

The daily sessions will be covering case studies presented by captains of industry and numerous thought leaders. One such session will focus on global digital viewing trends through COVID-19 and beyond. The session will share viewing preferences from South Africa and across the globe, showing not only viewership prevalence but advertising spend by big brands.

Another session is a presentation focused on the global news broadcaster Al-Jazeera. With networks in both Arabic and English across TV and multiple digital screens, the presenter will share the challenges in identifying and understanding the station's audiences around the world.

The presentation will share the broadcaster's journey to drive audience insights into their business across departments — informing a five-year plan for content, marketing, distribution and digital strategy. The current project is among the largest and most complex that the leading global information and measurement provider has ever delivered, according to the event.

"Our conference presenters will share information, layers of methodology and in-depth analysis that will not only impact your strategy but enable you to see your audience from a fresh perspective. This is one conference you don't want to miss," concludes Falala.

Individuals who are interested in attending the e-conference can register here. According to the event, the conference was made possible by:
