The African games and esports Careers Day is a free event focused on educating and exciting Africa's youth about the global games and esports industry from a career perspective.

The World Robot Olympiad will be encouraging South Africa's brightest young minds to create futuristic tech solutions. The African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL), Ultimate Gaming Championships (UGCZA) and Mettlestate are hosting high-stakes esports tournaments with cash prizes up for grabs, says the event.

A virtual cosplay contest is being hosted by GES, with Miguel Lima, Maou Ookami and Cynthia Brown judging in the categories of Pop Culture, Gaming and Anime / Manga.

Judging will take place on Google Teams and the finals will be live-streamed on the rAge streaming platforms (YouTube, Twitch and Facebook) on Sunday. Prizes will be awarded for best Solo, Group, Skit, Construction, Representation and Master.

The event has indicated that rAge Streamer Zone is back after its debut at 2019's rAge Expo and will run over the course of the rAge weekend with a diverse line-up of South African streamers participating.

During the month leading up to rAge, ChaniZA, Samplayze and Haylstorm will be streaming via the rAge Twitch channel.

South African industry personalities will be showcasing video content during the rAge Digital weekend. The line-up includes:
  • Gaming hosted by Grant Hinds
  • Esports hosted by Sam Wright
  • Mobile gaming hosted by Regardt van der Berg
  • Hardware and technology hosted by Neo Sibeko
Fans will be challenged to complete 18 'bingo' tasks (to celebrate rAge turning 18) on the BNG-0 MissionCard™ by rAge Systems, Inc. There are six winners per day so a total of 18 participants can each win.

There are also 30 exclusive rAge Loot Boxes up for grabs, so individuals are encouraged to keep an eye on the rAge socials in the next few weeks for more details on where and how they can secure one.
