From 13:00, individuals can enjoy the music of Tamlyn Wessels, get the Martin Bester and band experience and listen to Spoegwolf. There will also be a beer garden and market, as well as a safe kiddies' zone with magicians, balloon artists and face painting, plus inflatables to jump and climb onto, Silverstar Casino and The Reach For A Dream Foundation say.

The West Fest will also host the inaugural Braai Olympics. This is a chance for teams of five carefully chosen family and friends to show off who has the best tong technique, who is the master of marinade and who will be crowned champion. Individuals can join Chris Forrest at the Braai Olympics, a team event where five braai challenges will be tackled for a chance to win amazing prizes, the duo adds.

Silverstar says that it is proud to partner with The Reach For A Dream Foundation. Fulfilled dreams by the Foundation inspire hope, giving children a reason to believe that tomorrow is worth fighting for. National projects like Laughter Heroes, Dream Rooms and Dream Club provide ongoing support, enhancing the lives of these brave young fighters and their families.

Tickets for the West Fest can be bought via the Silverstar website or at Computicket for R200pp.

The duo concludes that individuals can join them as they collectively strive to spread hope in the West Rand.
