Like every brand that’s in the business of creating its own destiny, a season of renewal is necessary to keep Destiny Man top of mind, in touch with business and lifestyle trend and relevant to its diverse reader base.

Accordingly, Ndalo Media is proud to officially announce the new editorial team of Destiny Man, with Mzolisi 'Mzo' Witbooi as editor and S'thembiso Hlongwane as associate editor.

A BA Honours (Media Studies) graduate from the University of the Western Cape, as well as the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism, Witbooi completed Independent Newspapers’ first learnership programme in sub-editing, before launching his professional career as a general news reporter at the Cape Times in 2002. He’s also worked at the Cape Argus and Media24 Africa as a senior sub-editor on East African titles. He’s been a senior features writer and reviewer for Destiny Man for several years.

Hlongwane is an award-winning journalist who’s worked for City Press, East Coast Radio, P4 Radio, e.tv, the African Business Channel at Summit TV and, more recently, Drum, where he was both assistant editor and digital editor. Hlongwane is not only a fellow of the International Media Ethics Committee, but was recently awarded the prestigious International Journalists’ Programmes fellowship. He is also a member of the Media24 Journalism Academy’s mentoring programme.

Khanyi Dhlomo, CEO of Ndalo Media says: “Mzo brings with him excellent journalistic experience, focus, a commitment to the brand, and a good understanding of its target market. He’ll be working with the core Destiny Man team, the digital team and the broader team to ensure the Destiny Man print and digital brand becomes an even more impactful market leader.

Destiny Man is already moving in a positive direction, as both print and digital audience figures are showing growth. Please join me in wishing the Destiny Man team everything of the best. Onwards and upwards.”
