“The Z-CARD®'s play a strategic role in our ongoing marketing campaigns, throughout the country,” confirms Pieter Swart, NMMU’s director of Marketing and Corporate Relations.

“As an easy-to-use publication they are particularly important when it comes to reaching prospective students who do not have easy access to the internet. This is particularly the case with students from the rural Eastern Cape. Other prospective students use our Z-CARD® as a stepping stone to further information about the university,” he adds.

NMMU has six campuses, five of which are in the Eastern Cape coastal city and the other in George on the Garden Route in the Southern Cape. It offers over 340 programmes covering 140 career fields, ranging from higher certificates through to doctorates.

“We thus formatted the Z-CARD® in terms of careers, enabling students to find what they need easily,” says Swart.

“The feedback we receive continues to be positive, especially among would-be students. They love the novel fold-out nature and the practical information therein. That’s why NMMU is a satisfied customer. The Z-CARD® works us as a practical, reasonably inexpensive marketing tool to reach students that we might not have been able to reach,” he adds.
