According to Mpungose the new look is closely aligned to what the successful, modern-day black woman represents, and is committed to voicing TRUE LOVE readers’ passions and ambitions. The design is crisp, clean and confident, steering away from the kind of visual embellishments traditionally associated with women’s magazines. This was done to support the new editorial direction, and distinguish the visual language from the advertising pages, fortifying the TRUE LOVE brand. The look draws on international publishing trends and is sophisticated without being unapproachable, or alienating its local market.

“Sbu has done a fantastic job,” says Jonathan Harris, Thought24 CEO and Publisher. He adds: “The new-look really demonstrates her unique understanding of the needs of the TRUE LOVE reader, and I’m extremely excited about the response so far to the November issue and the outlook for TRUE LOVE in 2011 as a leading voice in this market.”

The TRUE LOVE December issue is on sale nationwide from early November.
