The tour ties in with the 30th anniversary of her mega hit The Power Of Love, which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the best selling single by a female solo artist in the history of British pop. The Power Of Love has become a timeless classic and one of the few songs that has also held resounding success as a cover version by artists including Laura Branigan, Celine Dion and Air Supply.

The run of intimate shows will be spread across eight cities (Pretoria, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, East London, Durban, Bloemfontein, Harare and Windhoek) and will feature an all South African band which will add a fresh 21st century twist to her iconic 80’s songs as well as some of the more recent material.

During her career, Rush has sold over 50 million albums and has collaborated with other international mega stars including Elton John, Michael Bolton, Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo. Her other familiar hits include Ring Of Ice, Madonna’s Eyes and Destiny.

“Coming back to South Africa is a dream come true – I love it here and it is a great way to celebrate three decades since my first huge record,” said Rush, who resides in New York.
