The ad was conceptualised by its newly appointed advertising agency, The Jupiter Drawing Room Cape Town, with the objective of creating ‘gees’ amongst South Africans.

With less than two years to the 2018 IRB Rugby World Cup, there’s no doubt that Coetzee has a big job on his hands, and BURGER KING® wanted to let him know that they’re behind him and the boys all the way.

“We’re definitely cheering for our boys in green and gold. Together with Jupiter, we conceptualised a way to reward them after a big game,” says Ezelna Broome, senior marketing manager at BURGER KING® SA.

The ad is intended to motivate ‘Toetie’ and the Springboks for the challenge ahead by inviting them for a free Big King XXL burger meal after each match.

Why a Big King XXL burger meal?

Lucas van Vuuren, executive creative director at The Jupiter Drawing Room Cape Town, explains: “Because big boys need big meals to satisfy big post-match hungers, and there’s no doubt this burger does just that.”
