Try as you may, no marketer can know
everything about marketing
at all times.
It is impossible. Things move and change quickly, and the marketing landscape
waits for no one. Relax! media update's Alrika Möller found some underrated marketing strategies that can still spice things up!
1. Nudge marketing
This
strategy is all about being
subtle. Marketers use
subtle ways of suggesting to
influence consumer behaviour rather than obvious persuasion and traditional marketing methods.
2. Experiental marketing
Experiental marketing is about
creating a
customer experience rather than just marketing. It revolves around
engaging with your audience and making them
feel special.
3. Storyscaping
The use of storytelling is the
oldest trick in the book.
Storyscaping is the act of making your
customer the hero and the focus of the story. It allows customers to
feel connected to your brand.
4. Gamification
Gamification takes
themes and
elements from
gaming as a way to market to new customers. It calls the audience to
action to get some kind of
reward.
5. Retention marketing
Retention marketing is all about building
customer loyalty. The focus is on keeping customers by
nurturing the relationships that
already exist. They do this through loyalty programmes and personalised emails.
