Ayoba has announced that it has teamed up with TikTok to directly integrate TikTok's content within the Ayoba app. This marks a first-of-its-kind collaboration on the African continent, bringing TikTok's content to millions of Ayoba users.
Ayoba says that the partnership aligns with its mission to deliver user-centric features that enhance the digital experience, particularly for African consumers who seek seamless, affordable and enriching connectivity.
"We're thrilled to offer TikTok content within Ayoba, creating a seamless, all-in-one experience for our users to access trending content, express creativity and stay connected," says Burak Akinci, CEO of Ayoba.
"This partnership reinforces our commitment to providing value-driven digital solutions that meet the unique needs of our growing African audience. With TikTok now integrated, Ayoba users can enjoy the power of global storytelling and creative expression — all within their favourite super app," Akinci adds.
Ayoba says that the integration places TikTok as a prominent feature on Ayoba's bottom navigation, making it easily accessible for users across 17 African key regions. Ayoba users will be able to watch TikTok videos seamlessly within the app and log into their TikTok accounts without leaving the Ayoba platform.
This integration aligns with Ayoba's content strategy which focuses on delivering localised, relevant and engaging experiences tailored to Africa's diverse audience. By offering content in local languages and reflecting regional traditions, Ayoba ensures cultural resonance. The platform provides a mix of entertainment, educational resources and utility-driven information like news and health tips, while also encouraging user-generated content to foster community engagement, the platform says.
Partnerships, such as with MTN, enable free access and remove financial barriers. With interactive features, multimedia formats and a focus on empowering local creators on a global scale, Ayoba also leverages data-driven insights to refine offerings and align with its mission of digital inclusion and community empowerment across the continent, Ayoba adds.
Beyond entertainment, TikTok serves as a launchpad for Africa's creative talent, enabling individuals to turn their passions into opportunities. By showcasing their skills, creators gain global visibility, connect with wider audiences, and for many, turn their creativity into a sustainable source of income. Ayoba says that this integration fuels deeper user engagement by making it easier than ever for individuals to share content and amplify brand campaigns directly with their communities, driving connection and visibility on a global scale.
Ayoba says that the partnership is a response to the growing demand for short-form video content in Africa. TikTok is already a key driver of cultural trends globally and within Africa.
Ayoba adds that, with TikTok already capturing a substantial audience in Africa, this collaboration allows it to deepen its presence and reach millions of additional users via Ayoba.
The TikTok integration within Ayoba will be live on Android devices in all key territories, with iOS to follow. Users can tap on the TikTok tab in the Ayoba app's bottom navigation, the platform concludes.
