The key evaluation is carried out by the international Red Dot jury, which is made up of journalists, professors and designers. They come together live to view and evaluate each submission individually, says Red Dot

The award says that on the basis of various criteria and taking into account their socio-cultural background, their professional focus and their design expertise, the jury decides which of the submitted works meet the requirements for a Red Dot, a Red Dot: Best of the Best, or a Red Dot: Grand Prix.
