Liberty's Head of Marketing, Thabang Ramogase, has been recognised among the inaugural Africa CMO 100 (ACMO100), a continental list aimed at celebrating the most impactful marketing, brand and reputation leaders shaping Africa's growth narrative.
Launched by Brand Africa in partnership with African Business magazine, MIPAD (Most Influential People of African Descent) and the African Media Agency, the ACMO100 aims to recognise leaders driving influence, innovation and meaningful brand impact across the continent and diaspora.
Ramogase's recognition aims to reflect the growing influence of African marketing leaders who are redefining how brands connect with consumers through trust, relevance and purpose-led storytelling, says Liberty.
The recognition comes at a time when financial services brands across Africa are navigating rapid shifts in consumer expectations, digital transformation and the increasing importance of human-centred engagement, adds Liberty.
Under Ramogase’s leadership, Liberty has aimed to continue to strengthen its positioning around financial planning, advice-led engagement and inclusive brand storytelling, while driving campaigns and platforms that connect financial wellbeing to the realities of everyday South Africans, says Liberty.
"This recognition is not only personal, but reflective of the incredible teams, partners and brands I have the privilege of working with. African brands have an opportunity to shape narratives that are not only commercially impactful, but culturally meaningful and deeply human," says Ramogase.
The ACMO100 initiative aims to spotlight African marketing leaders contributing to the continent's reputation, competitiveness and economic growth through brand and communications excellence, concludes Liberty.
