South African chocolate brand, Cadbury Dairy Milk has announced that it will permanently bring back the cashew and coconut flavour. Launched in 2008 as a limited edition, cashew and coconut captivated South African chocolate lovers. The range was so popular that it sold out to the trade in one week. In 2009 the flavour returned once again to tempt chocolate lovers, but for a limited period.
Over the past two years, hundreds of consumers contacted Cadbury saying they loved this flavour and would love to see it in stores again. This year, due to consumer demand, the cashew and coconut flavour returns permanently.
“The range has been enormously popular with our local chocolate lovers and the fact that they take the time to write or call Cadbury tells us just how much they love new editions and flavours. Cadbury takes all consumer requests very seriously and we are pleased to be bringing even more joy to our consumers this winter by re-introducing this popular flavour,” says Greg Banach, Cadbury Category Leader: Chocolate.
The cashew and coconut flavour will be launched with a new look as Cadbury Dairy Milk’s refreshed packaging brings the product in line with the new global design. Cadbury cashew and coconut will be available nationwide from May for a recommended selling price (RSP) of R10.49.
