"We decided to give everyone an update on where we are and what is happening on our side," says the team at SA HotRods magazine. "As everyone knows, the virus has had a huge effect on the industry and most shops have only started opening this week.

"We know, that due to this, it will take a couple of months for businesses to build up steam again," says the team.

The biggest blow to the magazine industry, according to the newsletter, is the closing down of RNA distributors. RNA was the company responsible for the delivery of SA HotRods magazine to over 1500 stores countrywide.

"It broke our hearts, as we have been working with the staff there for over 13 years. We wish them all well and hope that everyone who works there finds future success," says the team behind the newsletter.

"We have decided to put the printed side of the magazine on hold until we know what is happening in the country and our industry starts to recover. However, that does not mean that we are just sitting back and waiting. Now more than ever, it is crucial to keep promoting and pushing the industry," says the team.

"For this reason, we decided to push the magazine online by relaunching sahotrods.com. We are posting an article on social media on a daily basis and have already seen some incredible results," the team adds. "Our daily car post has fast built popularity, with one post reaching over 49 000 people in two days."

"We have set up some packages to help companies grow their online presence and help push their products and / or services," concludes the team. "We will also be offering specials on clients' products and running competitions via our website and these newsletters."

Individuals are encouraged to keep looking out for SA HotRods's newsletters, as it will be launching more products to help companies build their profile, as well as provide updates on model cars and other monthly articles that the magazine used to offer.
