Tollie Parton, star of the Showmax talk Show, Die Tollie & Manila Show, will be the MC for the day along with Jarrad Ricketts, who will also be performing. There will be a wide range of food trucks, including vegan and halal options, as well as a Pride Market, selling a variety of goods from rainbow-themed items, jewellery, artwork, a glitter bar, temporary tattoos and much more, adds the radio station.
Good Hope FM says that in addition, there will be an NGO Village where different organisations who work within the LGBTQIA+ sector can promote the work they do.
Newly appointed Cape Town Pride Brand Ambassador, Nkosinathi Sangweni waka Mtshali, says, "As Cape Town comes alive with the colours of Pride 2025, let us take a moment to honour those who paved the way for our freedoms while holding space for those who, for various reasons, cannot celebrate with us. Pride is a moment of joy and unity, but it is also a reminder of the work that remains. So, let's march, dance and celebrate — but let's not be oblivious to the fight that continues for equal rights, representation and justice for all."
Good Hope FM and 5FM Business Manager, Masi Mdingane, concludes, "It's a privilege for us to flood the streets — and the airwaves — with all the Mother City's most vibrant colours. Not only for the amazing festival that it is but also for the powerful message that it sends about being one united, equal, ubuntu-fuelled nation, no matter what a person's colour or creed. We look forward to another beautiful and inspiring event."
