‘Le Tigra Preview’ which features three free singles from Le Tigra was released a month ago and the first single off the album, entitled Love of Self (featuring singer/songwriter Ryan Morris), is already available on iTunes, Amazon mp3, Rhapsody, Emusic and Nokia Music Store as a precursor to the official album launch which will take place early this year.

Born on the Caribbean island of Dominica, and having lived in Amsterdam, St Lucia and London before settling in South Africa and launching his music career in Cape Town, Caesar has a wealth of personal experience that shines through in his lyrics. Add to the mix a melodic collage of kinetic drums, evolving synths and driving bass as well as Caesar’s rich voice, and the end result is a vibrant collection of singles with substance, delivered with honesty, conviction, passion and a powerful message.

Caesar had this to say about his soon to be released debut solo album: “Le Tigra is my first commercial release, it’s my statement saying to the world – ‘I'm here, I'm ready, the tiger is in the city!’ This album also expresses a part of me I don't yet fully know, it is inspired by the nature of the Tiger, connecting with our instinct and primal side. The world is getting faster, more digital, and we are more in contact but less in touch, Le Tigra is about putting touch and raw emotion out there. Its fierce, its wild, its sensual”.

Recorded at Your Voice Productions, ‘Le Tigra’ is produced by Cape Town’s Ross Gabriel. Featuring Lu Chase, Ryan Morris, Katherine, Carmen Maarmen and Shorry G, the album journeys across R&B, Electro, raw Hip-Hop, Dubstep and Drum &Bass grooves.

Caesar is no stranger to the stage, having performed in London, Manchester and Paris, as well as a host of venues in Cape Town. Here, he has also formed the local Hip-Hop group called ‘New Sons Cartel’ (NSC), whose song On My Way Up held the #1 spot on the Good Hope FM Hip Hop Chart for 16 weeks from June 2011. Caesar is also currently performing in popular the ‘Madame Zingara – 10 Years of Dreams’, a 420-seat travelling dinner theatre that has been enjoying full houses since 2007.

For over a year Caesar performed ‘Hold Me Close’, a song from Le Tigra, in front of 300 to 400 guests six to seven nights a week on the Madame Zingara Love Magic Tour.
