SABC Education's Takalani Sesame muppets heading to Pretoria

SABC Education’s Takalani Sesame muppets will visit Pretoria on Saturday, 27th October. Pretoria is the last stop of Sanlam’s 2012 national road show. The muppets will entertain children on stage and in play areas at the Giant Stadium, Soshanguve Highway in Soshanguve, Pretoria between 10:00 and 15:00.
Over the past 12 years, the award-winning Takalani Sesame has provided South Africa’s children with educational, fun, entertaining and quality programming on SABC television channels and radio stations. Takalani Sesame is innovative programming that allows children to celebrate their childhood through learning, loving, playing, laughing and dreaming.
Takalani, which means ‘be happy’ in TshiVenda, conveys the spirit of happiness and innocence. Takalani Sesame is brought to the children of South Africa through a partnership between SABC Education and Sanlam. Sanlam have sponsored Takalani Sesame since the first broadcast in 2000.
