TBI, established in 1992, is a South African alternative investment management group holding company. The business consists of several direct investments in investment management and related companies, including Awande Investment Managers, Bridge Capital, and Ora Fund Managers. TBI also holds majority ownership of TBI Strategic Partners, an arm of the firm that invests in private equity partner companies and full ownership of TBI properties.
cdcom was appointed as TBI’s public relations agency in May and embarked on a media campaign to publicise a capital raising the firm was conducting. At the end of June, the capital raising had reached 82% of its target.
cdcom was appointed as Stonehage Fleming South Africa’s public relations agency on Friday, 1 July. Stonehage Fleming is an international family office that specialises in the protection of family wealth and the management of family assets for high net worth investors. The group, the largest of its kind in the EMEA region, advises on over $40-billion for over 250 families and has 11 offices in eight countries around the world.
The South African arm of the group, which has been in operation since 2005, has offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg and offers a range of services, from long-term strategic planning and investments to day-to-day advice and administration for families with substantial wealth.
