The MiDesk is a wheelie schoolbag that serves as a portable desk and transforms into a chair, equipped with a solar light and USB charging portal.

The solution aims to provide children with a versatile tool for learning, seamlessly transitioning between home and school environments.

According to the initiative, the MiDesk ensures that students have a comfortable chair and desk wherever they go. It also integrates modern technology with its solar light and USB charging capabilities.

This will have a positive impact on the lives of learners at Rasethjaba Primary School and go a long way in ensuring that our children have access to quality education and are able to reach their full potential, the initiative adds.

Joshua Moela, Cell C's managing executive of government relations, says, "We passionately believe that education is the key to a brighter future. Through this initiative, the learning experience for every child, regardless of their circumstances, will be enhanced."

"MiDesks are a practical means to empower students, ensuring they have the tools necessary to excel in their academic journey. This collaborative effort reflects a shared vision of making education accessible and impactful," concludes Moela.

The school has expressed its gratitude to Cell C, Sedibeng District Municipality and Midvaal Local Municipality for their commitment to education and for making this initiative possible.
