According to Clover Mama Afrika, Mama Sipiwe Solomons loves the newfound skills that she gained by attending courses held by the Clover Mama Afrika project.

The organisation says that Solomons is working towards setting up a group of youngsters in her own community who, in turn, will do mosaic for the next generation.

Recently, she was equipped with cement flower pots, tiles and grout, and she gave a talk about mosaic and taught her trainees all there is to learn about making a cement pot look pretty, says Clover Mama Afrika.

Mama Sipiwe runs her centre, Hosanna Community Church and projects in the Hazyview area, concludes the organisation.

Sipiwe is also a registered nurse and midwife. She started her centre along with her husband in 2008, and here she provides a feeding scheme for:
  • orphans
  • hospice, and
  • home-based care for 140 children between eight and 14.
