Mzimhlophe Primary School (Limpopo); Sinetjudu Primary School (Mpumalanga); Hlomanani Secondary School (Mpumalanga); Thandulwazi Primary School (Mpumalanga); Magaduzela Primary School (Mpumalanga) and Motwaneng Primary School (Mpumalanga) will be visited by Albany bakeries and Shoprite Soup Kitchen starting from Tuesday, 10 March. The campaign is expected to run till April.

Albany Bakeries is donating Albany Superior White and Brown bread, projectors, classroom chairs and dictionaries during their visit to the schools. Shoprite Soup Kitchen will be serving the schools’ learners soup and Albany bread.

“The children are a real example to all of us.  Most of them are underprivileged, coming from impoverished backgrounds lacking in even the essential resources.  However, they have not let this stop them from going forward with their lives,” says Albany brand manager, Sonelle de Villiers.

“The Albany bread and soup were greatly appreciated by the learners, teachers, and food handlers in past school visits and hope we will achieve great feedback with the upcoming visits,” says Helena Yssel, sales manager at Albany Pretoria Bakery who manages the Shoprite Soup Kitchen on behalf of Albany.

It will be  three days of people coming together to help make a difference in the lives of the school children and their families.  “Albany is honoured to have the opportunity to play a role in helping the families of the villages rebuild their lives and create a better future for the families and the children of the community,” concludes De Villiers.
