With recent increases in the petrol price, looming increases in electricity prices and rising food inflation, Shoprite’s Big Red Friday promotion will undoubtedly serve as a welcome reprieve for cash-strapped consumers.
Shoprite is sticking to its promise of bringing everyday low prices to consumers. Now, with Big Red Friday, it is taking this promise further by offering even greater savings for consumers to take advantage of.
Some of the savings on basic food items that will be running on the day include a 3Kg bag of potatoes or a 3Kg bag of onions selling for only R25 each. Customers can save a massive R28 on a 750g tin of Ricoffy, selling for just R60. A 1Kg pack of Natural source or Bokomo Oats is selling for the low price of R15, a saving of R13 per pack.
As the consumer champion of low prices, customers can look forward to additional savings on OMO Multi Active Hand Washing Powder, with a 2-kilogram bag selling for only R35, a saving of R25. There is always time for treats with delicious Ultramel Custard selling at R18 for a 1-litre box, a saving of R12. Customers can stay fresh all day while saving big on Shield Roll-On for ladies or men, going for just R10 each, a saving of R9.
This one-day-only savings frenzy will offer many more specials at Shoprite’s almost 440 stores around the country.
All items are available during normal store trading hours, while stocks last and certain categories of products will have limits per customer to enable as many people as possible to share in the savings.
The deals will be advertised in the media nationally from Thursday, 9 June 2016.
