“It’s always been our plan to develop a full short-term insurance suit while shaking up global insurance practices and protocols,” explains King Price founder, Gideon Galloway. “The expansion into Namibia forms part of our current growth spurt to make our vision of changing the insurance landscape come to life.”

King Price Insurance Namibia was born from its CEO, Justinus van der Westhuyzen’s need to evolve the industry, which is the same yearning that brought King Price into reign in 2012.

“About two years ago, I was the youngest board member of a well-established insurance organisation in Namibia and at the height of my career, but there always seemed to be something missing,” says Van der Westhuyzen. “After searching for more than a year for the right partners who shared my dream, I found King Price.”

As the architect of a world where motor and fleet insurance premiums decrease monthly, King Price is changing what it means to manage risk by questioning the model all insurance companies have established as common practice, for the greater good of the consumer.

“It’s evident that the Namibian market is ready for change with 40 sales, 400 leads and 5000 visits to the website upon launch,” says Galloway. “We believe that the King Price modus operandi has already captured the imaginations of Namibians, as it has in South Africa, and will help reshape the industry.”

On talking about the future and what’s next for King Price, Galloway simply says; “We’re wholeheartedly dedicated to grow, innovate and constantly spread delightful confusion. We’re introducing another specialised offering within the month, so keep your eye on the crown - you will not be disappointed.”
