The campaign aims to motivate women from all walks of life to be brave and unapologetic about who and what they are, and also aims to challenge women to ask themselves: what does it mean to be brave enough to love yourself?

"Social norms have prescribed to women how to behave and have limited their expression for far too long. If women don’t conform to stereotypes, they are marked they are othered, violated, or discriminated against in efforts to get them to correct and fit into a box," says Leanne Martin, director: category Brutal Fruit.

"The '#bravetoloveme' campaign encourages women all over the world to stop seeking validation and brutally love who they are and bravely own their identity and own version of what is beautiful, and what is self-love," adds Martin.

The campaign launched on Monday, 12 February and features six women influencers who will all be leading the collaboration on the campaign.

Influencers in the campaign include:
  • Danine Naidoo – TV presenter, fashion stylist and publicist
  • Genna-wae Webster – Fashion designer.

  • Glow Makatsi – Stylist, artist, and a trans woman
