The annual awards ceremony takes place from 19:00 at The Venue at The Houghton Hotel and annually attracts more than 400 attendees.

Each year, individuals from the advertising and communications sector, commercial business, industry stakeholders, key stakeholders from government and members of the media attend the awards.

Mathe Okaba, CEO of the ACA, says, "The annual APEX Awards are a significant event on the industry calendar. It’s a highlight event where the industry celebrates and recognises communications effectiveness and by extension the value our profession delivers in terms of business success."

"APEX furthermore contributes to maintaining the high standards of the profession through the awarding of bursaries to deserving PDI students at the AAA School of Advertising," Okaba adds.

Since its inception in 2010, the APEX bursary programme has awarded a total of eighty bursaries to students of the AAA. By supporting the APEX events, delegates and guests are afforded an opportunity to hear from world-class speakers and attend the awards ceremony. They are also able to invest in the future of the profession.

"The ACA would like to thank our 2019 key partner Provantage Media Group and sponsors Kantar and Vodacom, and all the contributors for the collaboration and support provided. Staging the events and providing bursaries would not be possible without their participation," says Okaba.

"We are extremely grateful for the support shown in celebrating the work that works and we look forward to continuing our relationship in the years to come," Okaba concludes.

Seats at both events are limited. You can book tickets here.
