"I am delighted to join Meta Media, a young agency with incredible potential. The agency prides itself on being agile, adaptive, accountable and on delivering measurable results for its clients; I am excited to be part of this amazing team," says Leeuwner.
According to the agency, Leeuwner will be working closely with Meta Media's group managing director Kagiso Musi.
"Leeuwner is a highly respected media professional with decades of experience in this industry. We are excited to have her on board to contribute to the agency's growth and success," says Musi.
With the ever-changing landscape in the media industry, Leeuwner says that Meta Media needs to remain a strong strategic and collaborative partner to clients.
"We need to do this while staying on top of new developments to ensure success for our clients and equip them in the best possible way for growth and positive outcomes," Leeuwner says. "We've seen the change brought about by data and analytics, but we need to look beyond the numbers in data and analytics. We need to find the real story to create data-driven insights that guide our outputs to drive effectiveness and efficiencies for clients."
In commenting on the current Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolution, she adds that AI technology is a game-changer in the world, media industry and various other industries relevant to Meta Media clients.
"We cannot ignore how this is going to change the way consumers receive information and open a new way to engage with them," Leeuwner says.
Even amid an AI revolution, Leeuwner adds that a company is only as strong as its employees. Adding to people staying front-and-centre, Leeuwner says that Meta Media will continue to promote diversity and create a workforce that can bring different perspectives and experiences to the table.
"I want to create an environment where we encourage collaboration by creating opportunities for the team to work together, share ideas and learn from each other," she says. "I want to ensure there is a culture where we listen and acknowledge individuals' contribution to the team while providing feedback," Leeuwner says.
"All-in-all, great honour to have been given the opportunity to become part of this dynamic, growing team, and together with the existing leadership I look forward to grow the agency even more," concludes Leeuwner.
