Nando's, in partnership with VML South Africa, has launched 'Party Now, PERi Later', a feature on the Nando's app that allows users to pre-order their favourites by setting a delivery time.
Nando's says that with 'Party Now, PERi Later,' users can now make the most of their enhanced pre-order feature, letting users plan their next-day recovery with more flexibility.
Launching in time for December festivities, this function lets people plan tomorrow's PERi-PERi feast while still enjoying tonight's vibe, says Nando's.
"A lot of people, the morning after a really big night, always go for spicy chicken," says Fumani Khumalo, Creative Group Head at VML South Africa, the agency that developed the Nando's app.
"That made us think — Nando's has an array of PERi-PERi items on their menu. They should be the obvious choice. So, how can we make it easier for people to get their morning-after Nando's fix," adds Khumalo.
The result is a pre-order feature that makes it easy for partygoers and late-night explorers to plan ahead, says the company.
"Think of it as an act of self-care," says Nontobeko Sibiya, Marketing Manager: Communications at Nando's. "After a night out, there's nothing better than kicking back and reliving the night's best moments. With this feature, you can do just that — plan ahead, relax and let us take care of the rest."
'Party Now, PERi Later' Feature
"We want people to be able to order chicken mid-groove; mid-second location — or even from the Uber on the way home or on the way out," says VML Executive Creative Director Nhlanhla Ngcobo.
Nando's says that to order, users simply need to fire up the Nando's app, choose their favourites off the menu, set the delivery address and time, or choose to collect it yourself.
Hitting the Clubs, Hitting the Spot
To celebrate the launch, Nando's says that it is bringing the heat to nightclubs in Joburg, Durban, and Cape Town. People can keep an eye out for 'Party Now, PERi Later' activations happening live and pre-order their next-day meal on the spot.
Nando's concludes that the launch campaign will also feature after-hour radio ads, geotargeted push notifications around popular night spots during peak party times and social media ads reminding South Africans to look out for their future selves by pre-ordering delicious Nando's.
