Clement Motale has been appointed as Managing Executive for GMCA Strategic Transformation and Partnerships, effective Tuesday, 1 July. Currently Managing Executive for Communications and Marketing at Absa Corporate Investment Banking (CIB), Motale joined Absa Group in 2013 and has held various executive and senior management roles in the insurance, airline, and banking industries.
Janice Snyman has been appointed Managing Executive for Marketing and Corporate
Affairs at Absa CIB, effective Monday, 14 April. Snyman is a dynamic marketing
executive with over two decades of experience across the financial, data and technology sectors.
Snyman's previous roles include time spent at the London
Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), where she was the Director for Marketing,
Corporate Affairs and Programme Management. She also held the role of Global
Director of Content Management for LSEG. Other roles include
being the Regional Head of Marketing, Africa for Thomson Reuters, where she
transformed the marketing function.
Erica Bopape has been appointed Executive Head of Marketing and Corporate
Affairs for Relationship Banking, effective Sunday, 1 June. Bopape is the current
Head of Marketing for Investment Banking at CIB, where she oversees the
pan-African marketing strategy and execution for Investment Banking.
Bopape joined Absa CIBW (then Absa Capital and Absa Wealth
sub-brands) in February 2011. Prior to joining Absa, she spent six years in
various managerial / specialist communications roles at Liberty Group. She also spent the early years of her career at
Investec and Telkom.
Sarah Hall has been appointed in the role of Executive Head of Market
Research and Insights for GMCA, effective Thursday, 1 May. Hall is an experienced market research professional with over 15 years of primary research
expertise and a strong passion for storytelling and strategic
decision-making.
In her role as the Head of the Department for Group Research at
MultiChoice, Hall established a consolidated Group Research function. Prior to that, Hall held various positions at MultiChoice,
including SA Research Manager, Senior Researcher and various roles in research
companies that include Kantar and Mediacom as an Econometrician / Data Analyst.
Kgaiso Mokgethi has been appointed as Head of Product Marketing for Relationship
Banking, effective Thursday, 1 May and will report to Bopape. Mokgethi has held significant Brand and Marketing roles in the financial services sector at Hollard Insurance, Woolworths Financial Services and
Nedbank Capital.
