BooYaa Golf, South Africa's premier golf apparel brand, and the Bomb Squad have teamed up on a new, proudly South African golf collection that aimed to bring rugby's intensity and unity to the fairways with bold design, premium performance and everyday wearability.
"The BooYaa and Bomb Squad collaboration is the perfect fit. Rugby and golf both live far beyond the field and the course. Together, we represent a lifestyle," says Steven Kitshoff, speaking on behalf of the Bomb Squad. "This range is bold, high-quality and built for people who want to carry the Bomb Squad spirit with them, whether they're teeing off or just enjoying the game with friends."
At launch, the collection features three distinct shirts that translate South African sport culture into modern golf wear:
- Heritage: A celebration of the Rainbow Nation, with colour and iconography that signal unity and national pride.
- Green Mamba: A tone-on-tone green pattern that nods to the mamba's scales and SA sport colours.
- Field Goal: Clean vertical lines in white, teal and deep blue that mirror rugby field markings for an athletic look.
"As a proudly South African retailer, partnering with equally proud SA brands like BooYaa and the Bomb Squad was a natural fit," says Sven Pederson, marketing manager of The Pro Shop. "Launching on Heritage Day is exactly right. We expect customers to embrace the fun, the quality, the bold designs and the connection to the Bomb Squad team as a true reflection of South African spirit."
For BooYaa, the collaboration grew from a shared view of what sport can mean in people's lives, says the company.
"This partnership captures rugby's grit and camaraderie alongside golf's finesse and sportsmanship," says Ruan Lotz, co-founder of BooYaa Golf. "It blends two codes into one statement, a fusion of bold energy with refined performance that resonates on and off the course."
The BooYaa Bomb Squad collection launches Wednesday, 24 September at The Pro Shop (select stores and online) and via BooYaa's online store, concludes the company.
