Industry stalwart Brendan Taylor is retiring from Provantage Out of Home Media. After fifty-two years of working, of which nearly half were successfully spent in the out of home industry, Brendan has decided to move on.
Brendan has been a pioneer in the out of home industry, having paved the ground for many after him. He has held the position of executive director at Provantage Out of Home Media since 2003. In 1990, he was a founding member of Comutanet (Primedia). Previous to that he managed large sales and marketing forces in both South Africa and Europe as sales director at JT Middleton Holdings and as general manager of Wolf Tools (UK). His education includes an AMI in structural engineering, which has served Brendan well – making him an astute problem-solver with a logical mind driven to finding the perfect solutions to client needs.
Brendan has made the out of home industry an exciting space and has been part of its massive growth in South Africa. His human resources skills and his flair with people have been a vital part of the backbone behind the Provantage team, ensuring a healthy, innovative and enthusiastic company culture.
Brendan has been a mentor, a ground breaker, a motivator, a patient listener, a true professional, a team leader and a team player and he will be missed by all!
“Brendan has the ability to build, nurture and motivate people and has more energy than people half his age! His presence, support and enthusiasm will leave a huge gap in our business that I don’t believe we will easily fill. We say farewell and not goodbye to a dear friend , inspirational mentor and an energetic maverick and entrepreneur,” says Jacques Du Preez, MD of Provantage Out of Home Media.
