Clocking up 3000 views in less than 24 hours, the spot shows a women at a perfume counter sampling a new fragrance. An hysterically funny twist happens when she hears that the name of a French fragrance means “Come to Me”.

Says Angel Jones, executive creative director of Morrisjones, “The clever thing about rubybox is that they deliver sample goodies to the privacy of your home. So we wanted to highlight the humour of getting into an embarrassing situation when you try something new in public.”

Comments Sylvia Gruber, founder of rubybox, “Now that we have evolved the business into offering stunning fragrances and other beauty products that you can buy online, this seemed the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of our brand.”

Continues Jones, “Hats off to our Director for her superb casting and performances, and thanks to our client for agreeing to such a brave approach.”

The spot was directed by Cindy Lee of Fresheye films, “It’s not often that a Director gets a script like this, so when I did, I knew that all I had to do was cast it well and the rest would do itself. The minute I put these two actresses together we had magic.”

Already rubybox has seen a 130% increase in visitors to their site, www.rubybox.co.za, with a 320% increase in sales.

The creative team from Morrisjones included Angel Jones, Margarita Karvouniaris and Bernie da Silva. The ad was shot by Cindy Lee of Fresheye Films and edited by Kayleigh Kinnear of Orchestra Blue.
