Available to the public from Saturday, 17 January, the Magnum Pleasure Store gives Capetonians the opportunity to share the glamour of a quarter century of pleasure. Open daily from 10:00 to 20:00, and running for eight weeks only until Sunday, 15 March, Cape Town pleasure seekers will have the chance to celebrate and enjoy their favourite ice cream in a very unique way.

The Make My Magnum experience provides fans with the opportunity to customise their own Magnum ice cream any way they want – it is easy to understand the huge international buzz this has created, complete with mile long queues.

The official Cape Town launch came hot off the heels of the brand’s international and more recent Johannesburg success. With a glamorous star studded event kicking off celebrations on Thursday, 15 January at Cavendish Square, co-hosted by Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Leigh-Anne Williams, looking fabulous in a stunning dress from KLuK with hair and make-up by Head 2 Toe, and attended by some of the Mother City’s hottest celebrities, guests were welcomed to the glittering event in true Magnum pleasure style complete with chocolate martinis, a selection of premier canapés and the finest champagne.

To keep guests entertained whilst enjoying their very own Magnum pleasure experience, Cape Town-based DJ Vanessa Holliday added a host of smooth tunes to the evening’s festivities. Heather Thompson a self-taught Conceptual Chocolatier who, under the guise of Soma Confection, creates dessert installations that play on the intersection of the senses assembled a chocolate sculpture throughout the course of the evening inspired by the Make My Magnum experience.

The Make My Magnum experience costs R40 and includes a choice of three premium toppings. And to ensure maximum pleasure for all Cape Town Magnum fans, a host of competitions including giveaways, a Valentine’s Day promotion in conjunction with Heart FM, pop up experiences and celebrity-hosted events will further afford Cape Town’s pleasure seekers the opportunity to truly be part of their favourite ice cream’s birthday celebrations.
