“Radio is my first love and joining the
KFM team is going to be an incredible adventure and a chance to create something new. A genuine, honest relationship with listeners is critical for me - continuing that journey with this, on a new platform, is very exciting,” says Wastie.
Another exciting addition sees Ryan O’Connor's
Breakfast Show extended by an hour, giving fans even more of their favourite start to the day.
Daytime changes include a Voicenote-driven hour making office listeners an integral part of the programming.
Ian Bredenkamp moves to the
Weekend Breakfast Show - he’ll focus on hyper-local content, covering events and lifestyle topics.
“Over the last few months, we’ve been working on creating a fresher line-up on
KFM and introducing
WhatsApp in the overall mix of our sound. The uptake of
WhatsApp has been seamless and has opened another dimension to the sound of Cape Town through our listeners,” says Colleen Louw, station manager of
KFM.
