The original version of the song by Carike Keuzenkamp was used in the film that will be released on the Friday, 25 November, but the version created by Berg, Ludick and Gardiner will be released as a music video and can be heard on radio stations nationwide.

Berg says, “It was quite nerve wrecking to attempt a Carike Keuzenkamp hit song.” Ludick and Gardiner, however, walked the extra mile and created a version in their unique style. They created the sound to suit Berg's voice and style but still kept true to Keuzenkamp.

To Ludick and Gardiner, this was quite an intimidating assignment. Gardiner explains that they “did not want to destroy this legendary song and that it was quite a challenge to transform the song into something new that people would still want to listen to.” They still wanted to keep it recognisable, maintaining the structure but also creating a fresh pop sound.

Ludick says, “The current day style of pop music differs from that of a few years ago. In the original version, the choir part was repeated more often and the song was more simplistic. Today people want to hear something new within the first ten seconds of listening to a song.”

They wanted to rearrange the song creatively to suit the current pop style. They kept some of the original elements such as the melody and lyrics but created something more modern using instruments like drums and guitars. Vaughan believes that the essence of the song was maintained and that they transformed the popular song into something current and creative.
