Nu Metro Cinema to launch first ever Laser Projection-cinema

This new cinema, the first ever Scene Xtreme outside Gauteng, officially boasts the biggest cinema screen in the Western Cape. 

It will also be the first cinema in the city to feature the Dolby Atmos sound system – making it only the third Dolby Atmos-cinema in South Africa. Dolby Atmos is all-around 360 degrees-sound, including overhead speakers.

Scene Xtreme at Nu Metro Canal Walk will launch to the public with a special pre-release screening of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ahead of the film’s official South African release on Thursday, 15 December. 

Cape Town joins the Scene Xtreme-family of superior visual and sound quality along with the other Xtreme cinemas at Nu Metro Menlyn Park (Pretoria), Clearwater Mall (Johannesburg), and The Glen (Johannesburg).
