Disney Africa and e.tv release free-to-air broadcast deal for SA

The offer will also include the existing Marvel Studios live action films, animated series, as well as ABC Studios drama and comedy shows which was aired on e.tv for the very first time in 2016.

Under this new agreement, e.tv’s viewers already have access to the first programming roll-out this March, with the Disney Princess Month. This includes features such as The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Frog, Frozen and the animated series Sofia the First, broadcast every Saturday.

Across South Africa, e.tv viewers will be able to view some of Disney’s blockbusters, including the Pirates of the Caribbean films, which will air every Saturday night in the month of May. The agreement also includes titles such as Cool Runnings, The Pacifier and Sister Act, among others. From Disney Pixar, viewers will be able to watch animated films such as Cars, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc. and The Incredibles, together with some of the studio’s shorts such as For The Birds, Jack-Jack Attack and Mike’s New Car.

Joining the television series Mistresses, Devious Maids, Black-ish and How To Get Away With Murder currently on air on e.tv, is the first season of the Shonda Rhimes’ series and The Fixer (known as Scandal outside of South Africa).
