The move for DJ Fresh to Metro FM has been a long-term plan for the two brands.
“We wish Fresh all the best, and thank him for the incredible service and commitment to 5FM over the years," Hefkie says.
DJ Fresh said his farewell to listeners as the station paid tribute to him on the Forbes and Fix Show, before he starts his new venture on Metro FM on Monday, 3 April.
5FM will be putting together a new breakfast show that caters for the ever-changing and exciting new nature of the audio media landscape. The new show will launch on Monday, 1 May.
