Brown has financed the deal to fully reacquire 100% ownership in Frantic Films, which has been owned by Kew Media Group since March 2017. The terms of the deal will remain undisclosed.
Brown will continue to lead Frantic Films. The company's leadership team and wider staff arrangements will also be unaffected at its headquarters in the Winnipeg and Toronto office, and current productions also remain unchanged and on schedule.
Over the past 20 years, Frantic Films has produced programming across the following genres:
- lifestyle
- factual
- reality
- sports
- comedy, and
- scripted.
Productions include
Backyard Builds for HGTV and
The Stats of Life for CBC, while its comedy roster includes the 2019
Rose d'Or-winning
Baroness Von Sketch Show for CBC and IFC and
Still Standing for CBC.
Frantic Films has 13 nominations for the 2020
