"I am passionate about education because I believe that a good education sets the foundation for a bright future. If we as South Africans can invest more in education, we will get the best dividends in our future generations," says managing director at East Coast Radio Boni Mchunu.

"Tata Madiba once said, 'Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world'. I truly believe there is merit in that," adds Mchunu.

Hollywoodbets says that it aims to be an active role player in the communities within which it operates. Between 2019 and 2020, it supported 306 charitable organisations, 250 development sports teams and 24 SMMEs through the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme.

"During a time that has proven to be challenging for so many, we aim to invest in the future of our leaders through 'The Future is Bright' project. We started this initiative in 2020 and we are so excited to be partnering with East Coast Radio to pledge R100 000 towards providing tertiary education for more and more South Africans across the country," says Sandisiwe Bhengu, operations executive of Hollywoodbets.

"Statistics that were recently released spoke about the high unemployment rate of our South African youth and the reality is that many of them are graduates. We, therefore, pride ourselves on the fact that we can offer employment opportunities to our bursars. We are looking forward to 2021 and we hope to continue investing in the communities that are in need of a helping hand," concludes Bhengu.
