By voting, listeners are automatically entered into a lucky draw where they stand the chance to win R40 000 cash prize.
According to the awards, there is no limit on the number of votes they may cast.
Listener voting determines the winners of two separate
MyStation Awards. The
Most Votes Award is for the station that receives the highest number of online votes and the
Most Loyal Listener Award is for the station that earns the most votes as a ratio against their listenership.
"It's always exciting to hand over the
MyStation Awards," says Taryn Westoby, head of Arena Events, which owns the
Radio Awards. "The winner is determined by listeners who identify strongly with stations and look to support them for this popularity accolade."
