SuperSport says that it has a history of investing in cutting-edge technology to stay ahead of the curve in the fast-paced world of live broadcasting.

The acquisition of the new IP Outside Broadcast Unit is a significant step forward for SuperSport, and the hi-tech vehicle will enable the multi-platform broadcaster. This is to capture the excitement of live sporting events and deliver general entertainment shows to millions of viewers, says the broadcaster.

Among the business's range of content are properties like:
  • the Premier League
  • the Professional Soccer League
  • World Wrestling Entertainment
  • Formula 1, and
  • all the major cricket and rugby events from around the world.

This acquisition is thus a radical boost for live broadcasting. With its cutting-edge technology and future-proofing capabilities, this innovative solution empowers SuperSport to continue producing captivating content while staying ahead in a rapidly evolving industry, the broadcaster adds.

Dheshnie Naidoo, head of production operations for SuperSport, says, "I am thrilled to endorse the new IP Broadcast Unit as a game-changer in the industry. The solution has the potential to transform the way we produce and deliver content as it revolutionises the live production workflow. Supersport has always been at the forefront of technology, and we need to stay ahead in an ever-evolving industry."

The broadcaster says that it will soon start operating on small-scale events, allowing engineers to bed it down, before its primary use on major events like cup finals, major derbies and the like.
