Lately, it feels like sports have just taken over the world. It was Roland Garros, Wimbledon, the Europa Championship, the Olympics … and so many others. And people don't just watch casually — they need to know everything there is to know about the sport and the players; this is why sports journalism is thriving!
With all the sporting activities going on in the world, it is natural to get super into it.
You might be one of those people who love all the off-the-track drama. Maybe you enjoy the sport so much that you need to know all the stats. It is also possible that you — like me — found some new sports during the Olympics and now you want (need) to know everything about them.
Regardless of how you got here, you will either turn to sports journalists for knowledge or consider becoming one yourself. I don't make the rules.
