Good Hope FM says that it called on listeners to nominate dynamic women in their families, circle of friends, work environment and communities who excel as entrepreneurs, trailblazers, pioneers, industry leaders, or unsung heroes. The radio station received an overwhelming response.

Good Hope FM and 5FM PCS Combo Business Manager Masixole Mdingane says, "We are honoured to have received hundreds of entries, and privileged to celebrate each one of our finalists — ladies who have made a massive impact in social balance, empowerment, technology, business, arts, sport, community upliftment and various other arenas."

Mdingane concludes, "These are women who shape a better future, who don't hope and wait for the world to change for the better, but are the ones who change it in the most beautiful and inspiring ways. They are Cape Town's original formidable female forces, and we are hugely humbled by this opportunity to showcase, recognise and celebrate them."
