Launching on Saturday, 2 November, from 18:00 to 21:00, is Kfm Summer Spin. The radio station encourages listeners to join Jono Duguid as he takes them on a musical journey that captures the vibrant energy of the Cape.

Kfm 94.5 says that with feel-good hits, guest DJs and the voices of Capetonians, this show promises to unite everyone in a celebration of summer fun and good times.

The weekend line-up is getting a makeover, says the radio station. This includes: 

Early Saturdays with Hunter Plaatjies: On Saturday mornings, Hunter Plaatjies from the Kfm Crew will bring listeners all the latest in sports, activities and adventure.

Early Sundays with Danté Poole: Danté Poole, also from the Kfm Crew, will host Sunday mornings with charm and laughter. Poole will ease listeners into a chilled Sunday, chatting about plans for the day and bringing listeners the 'Most Music to Make You Feel Great'.

Weekend Afternoons with Mitch Matyana: Mitch Matyana will now host Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Matyana will bring listeners the biggest hits and the biggest laughs, ensuring that listeners' weekends feel absolutely fantastic. He will reflect on and celebrate current sports events and results tapping into the gees of the day.

  • 05:00 - 07:00: Early Saturdays with Hunter Plaatjies — NEW
  • 07:00 - 10:00: Weekend Breakfast with EB Inglis
  • 10:00 - 14:00: Kfm Top 40 with Carl Wastie, soundtrack your style with Ackermans
  • 14:00 - 18:00: Weekend Afternoons with Mitch Matyana — NEW, and
  • 18:00 - 21:00: Kfm Summer Spin with Jono Duguid — NEW.

Sundays:

  • 05:00 - 07:00: Early Sundays with Danté Poole — NEW
  • 07:00 - 10:00: Kfm Sundaze Breakfast with Saskia Falken
  • 10:00 - 14:00: Sundays with Brandon Leigh, and
  • 14:00 - 18:00: Weekend Afternoons with Mitch Matyana — NEW.

The New Weekend Hosts

According to Kfm 94.5, the new hosts are: 

Jono Duguid is the man of the hour at Kfm Summer Spin, with impressive DJ friends and a passion for music that brings people together.

Danté Poole is a beloved member of the Kfm Crew and always ready with a joke. As part of the Kfm Crew, he is often on the radio from the spots and events in town. Poole made his TV debut with Hectic on 3 (SABC 3) when he was 19 years old. In 2024, he was nominated for a South African Film and Television Award for Best TV Presenter for his spot on Hectic Nine 9 (SABC 2).

Hunter Plaatjies is a multi-talented dynamo who isn't just a voice on the radio; she's an actress, writer, MC and sports and arts enthusiast. She is also Saartjie from the hit Afrikaans telenovela Arendsvlei on KykNet&Kie and Gloria in Skemerground. Plaatjies brings her vibrant energy to the Kfm Crew and is ready to kickstart the weekend.
