Fresh winds are sweeping at Jam Alley. SABC 1’s popular Friday-evening youth show is introducing a fresh male presenter this Friday evening, at 18:30, to co-host alongside the irrepressible Twasa.

His name is Thato Mahlatsi – popularly known to thousands of his music fans as T’do. The 26-year-old Soweto born is replacing Nnekwa Tsajwa who had since left the show to explore other available opportunities. Jam Alley will never be the same again with the roping in of this young artist who has achieved so much since his career took off eith years ago.

“As the number 1 television channel for the youth of Mzansi, we are always excited to provide a platform for our youth to showcase their talents and creativity,” says Vukile Madlala, channel’s Publicity Manager.

T’do’s Biography
Thato “T’do” Mahlatsi, born in Soweto, 26 years ago, began his entertainment career in 2001 when he first discovered his presenting talent, when he presented SABC 1's magazine show 'Get Real'. He then came back to the scene as one half of hip-hop’s top notch tag team, Zulu Mobb, with his partner in crime Dez Demona in 2004.

The group went on to release two albums, Corner Bullet & Knife (2004) and Zuluminati (2005), they were also nominated for a Metro FM Music Award and a Channel O Music Video Award. T’do’s worked with some of the most celebrated artists and producers, Slikour; Flabba; Mr Selwyn; Wicked; Mapaputsi; Psyfo; and Amu.

After two Zulu Mobb albums and great guest appearances, T’do has decided to put his best foot forward, step up, stand up and hit the studio to start preparing his solo album due for release in 2010 under the watch full eye of Buttabing Entertainment.

The past two years have seen T’do travel across the country as host and performer on the Sprite Hip Hoop Tour (2007); Cell C Careers Roadshow (2007 and 2008); I.D. Urself Now (SABC Education, 2008); and alongside Slikour and Shugasmakx promoting his solo career.

2009 sees T’do being handed the ropes as brand new presenter of highly viewed 'Jam Alley', a youth variety show concentrated around music and stands as one of SABC 1’s long-running flagship programmes on the national broadcaster.

From way back and all the way into the future, T’do will be fully exploiting all his talents as an exceptional television personality, emcee and hip hop genius.
