Actress, Chloe Bridges, joins the movie sequel and plays Dana Turner, the dreamy-eyed brunette daughter of the rival camp owner, Axel Turner (played by Daniel Kash), in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.

Bridges describes working on the movies as a ‘wonderful’ experience. “It was so much fun!” she said, adding, “I wasn’t prepared for what a huge phenomenon Camp Rock is. The fans are very supportive and it’s been great to meet them.”

Bridges said a normal day of shooting began at 08:00 and ended at 20:00. Although it’s a long day, “we have fun in between shoots [by playing] kickball and talking to each other. It’s like real Summer camp bonding,” she said.

Bridges added that the bonding with the cast has meant that they are all close, although she feels closest to Demi Lovato. “Even though we didn’t work together because our characters don’t interact with one another in the movie, we have so much in common. We’re best friends, but I talk to everyone.”

Regarding working with the Jonas Brothers, Bridges said that all “are great guys,” although she got on best with Nick, as she worked with him in a few scenes. “He’s a very talented; focused; and driven guy, and he’s funny.”

Despite the hype surrounding the movie, Bridges said she definitely feels as though she’s living a normal teenage life. “Even though I’ve been acting since I was 13, I went to a public high school. The friends I made there are still some of my closest friends now. I’ve also made many friends in the industry, but besides doing this interview from New York, I live an almost completely normal life, and my life is fun.”

In her spare time, Bridges likes to ‘hang out with friends’, and when alone, to play the piano and read, especially the Harry Potter books. She also enjoys all kinds of movies, and in terms of ‘action’ films, enjoys all the James Bond movies, citing Casino Royale as one of her favourites.

The actress said that the entire Summer camp experience was a lot of fun, because just like in the movie, she went to traditional American Summer camp during her own holidays. There she enjoyed art; singing; dancing; painting; pottery; and swimming.

Bridges said she is “excited for the movie to come out in September. We started shooting last fall, and it’s finally coming. I’m not sure about my plans after this, but I’m excited about the future.”

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam opens with a Camp Rock reunion, with the campers returning to enjoy another Summer of music and fun. But all is not perfect, as across the lake, is the new Camp Star: a high-tech; big money music camp, which threatens to poach Camp Rock's counsellors and put Camp Rock out of business.

When it comes to the Final Jam competition, the well-funded Camp Star puts on a highly polished, technically flawless performance. Camp Rock responds with a passionate duet backed by a riotous display of group heart and soul.
