Advertisers in Media 24’s print publications will soon also have their classified advertisements placed online, free of charge. NETADS24.com is a leading channel in the host of new online services offered under the new 24.com brand. According to Lawrence Brown, general manager of NETADS24.com, this interactive online service will offer innovative navigation tools and content that is relevant, personal, accurate and local. “We are combining the classifieds from all the major Media24 print publications including Beeld, Die Burger, Volksblad and Natal Witness, along with all the community, weekly and regional supplements,” he says. “NETADS will be the largest classified portal in South Africa, reaching approximately 7 million users.” Using mostly home-grown technology, NETADS offers easy browsing and posting of adverts – the art of delivering accurate, relevant and local content as quickly as possible. “NETADS will refine the way in which buyers and sellers communicate with each other,” Brown adds. All advertisers within the print publications will have their classified ads placed free of charge for the first year on NETADS24.com and the plan is for all classified sections to eventually contribute to the same NETADS24.com brand – absorbing the existing, and very popular, ‘Snuffelgids’ in Die Beeld and Die Burger. An added bonus of NETADS is that advertisers are able to place photos of their products online – also free of charge for the first year. The 24.com website went live on Monday 10 July and NETADS24.com became the official new trade name for Classified ads in Media 24’s print publications from 21 July.
