Three RSG presenters nominated for Huisgenoot Tempo Awards

Three of RSG’s presenters have been nominated for the annual Huisgenoot Tempo Awards in the category of Favourite Radio Presenter. Other presenters from commercial Afrikaans radio stations have also been nominated – but only RSG can boast three nominations.
The category for Radio presenters is one of 19 categories in the annual awards, which also includes music, movies, TV and literature categories. Individuals and programmes are nominated by a panel that reviews outstanding Afrikaans talent between the periods of Saturday, 14 April 2012 and Friday, 24 May.
The public are invited to nominate for their Favourite Radio Presenter until Friday, 12 July at 17:00. The awards evening will be hosted at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 23 July. Support RSG, the SABC’s Afrikaans radio service and nominate for their presenters.
All that one has to do is to send an SMS with the letters TEM, the code of one's choice presenter (don’t leave a space), and one's name to 32113. Each SMS costs R1 and only 20 votes per cell number is allowed. The codes for the 3 RSG presenters are: P1 for Amore Bekker, P4 for Lynette Francis, and P5 for Martelize Brink.
Bekker is the presenter of Tjailatyd, the afternoon drive time show weekdays from 15:00 to 18:00. Francis presents Praat Saam every weekday morning from 08:00 to 09:00 and is also a SABC2 TV presenter. Brink is co-presenter of the lifestyle show, Oggend op RSG which airs weekday mornings from 09:00 to Noon, which is presented from the Sea Point studios.
Each person that casts a vote, also stands a chance to win great prizes – ranging from a car, to cameras, perfume, watches and sunglasses – courtesy of the Huisgenoot Tempo Awards competition.
